General Policies
DOGS. We are sorry, but dogs are not allowed at our ranch since we have many animals. We have our own dog running around the property. Please let us know if you are afraid of or have issues with our domestic animals and we will try to make arrangements to that effect.
SMOKING. Absolutely no smoking. Our environment is dry most of the year, so we do not allow smoking in order to avoid fires and ensure the safety of our ranch residents (animals and people).
SAFETY. For your protection and the safety of our animals, the following are required at all times:
Helmets must be worn for all horseback riding and all cycling activities — at any time you are mounted on a horse or riding a bike on the property.
No running near animals, corrals, pastures, or barns. Sudden movements and noise can spook livestock and create a hazard for you and others.
Closed-toe shoes are required in all animal areas (barn, corrals, pastures, and arenas); sturdy boots are strongly preferred. Sandals, flip-flops, and open-toe footwear are not permitted around the animals.
SERVICE. Spokes & Saddles reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
LAWS. Violation of any federal or state laws, company policies, or house rules are all grounds for immediate removal from the property without refund.
INHERENT DANGERS. A ranch has inherent dangers, and we will do our best to point out the obvious ones; however, guests will hold harmless Spokes & Saddles from all claims, suits, or actions of any nature arising out of the activities of their party.
RULES. Please abide by any additional "rules" posted on the property. These are for the safety of both you and the ranch residents (animals and people).
Notice of Inherent Risks (Colorado Law)
Please read the following warnings, required under Colorado law:
WARNING
Under Colorado law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 13-21-119, Colorado Revised Statutes.
WARNING
UNDER COLORADO LAW, THERE IS NO LIABILITY FOR THE DEATH OF OR INJURY TO A PARTICIPANT IN AN AGRICULTURAL RECREATION OR AGRITOURISM ACTIVITY RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF THE AGRICULTURAL RECREATION OR AGRITOURISM ACTIVITY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 13-21-121, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES.
Inherent risks include, without limitation, the risks of animals, weather, and land conditions, as well as the potential for a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to their own injury or death. By participating in activities at Spokes & Saddles, you are assuming the risk of those activities.
Liability Waiver
When you arrive, you will be asked to sign a Release, Waiver of Liability, and Indemnity Agreement before participating in any activities. We will send this agreement to you ahead of your visit so you have the opportunity to read it completely before your arrival, and you are welcome to have your own legal counsel review it. If you choose not to sign, we will refund any fees you have paid to use our facilities.
